Okay so, I replied to, by, but I ended up having a lot to say so I figured I'd make larger post to the whole sub! I've done two run-throughs beating all the bosses; I learned a lot in the first run and got all classes to Resolve 6; the second run went very smooth, almost comically easy. Here's how I did it: Part I: God, Grog, and Grit: Town management, and the ideal progression order • The obvious first thing you must do is improve your roster size to more than just 4 heroes, but once this is completed in the early game, you should focus your heirloom spending on stress relief (Bar and Abbey).
Most of the quests are 'short' in the early game, meaning you have very low stress management. More on that later. Once you have at least 2 slots in a couple of relief activities, you can move on to other buildings, returning to upgrade the Bar and Abbey if you have a surplus of heirlooms. The value of the stress-relief buildings plummets at higher levels. • Next, you can improve your roster size a little further and upgrade the Guild to improve the skill-sets of your heroes.
You want synergies and multi-rank versatility. I wouldn't focus on upgrading individual skills yet, I'd just focus on learning level-1 of the most useful abilities. These should be only minor investments at this point.
