Hi everyone, I have a DVB-T USB dongle that isn't working. Windows 10 64-bit has detected it as a Realtek 2832U device, and installed the Microsoft 64.1.304.2009 driver. The broad consensus in the community is that this driver is broken. However an automatic search won't install anything else. I'm trying to install newer drivers, but from a number of sources I get the following error message in device manager: The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems. I've had a look at the filenames, and they seem to be correct ie they really are a newer version of the correct driver.

Hi, I suggest you to follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists. Please do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist you.
I've done some more research, and there is another thread about the: I've successfully managed to get the most recent driver installed. I just had to disconnect my internet connection, uninstall and delete the broken drivers, and then scan for new hardware. This time, I got the result in the image below.
Now I could right-click the Bulk-In, Interface USB device and install the latest driver from the list. These drivers work and I could watch TV normally!!
The problem is that when I reconnect to the internet, it automatically replaces my working driver with the broken version. How do I disable this behaviour? I have tried System -> Advanced System Settings -> Hardware -> Device Installation Settings -> No. PS I may also need to have run the following instruction: Go to C: Program Files (x84) Realtek Realtek USB DTV Device>Driver and run as Administrator the file signed as SetDrv64. Exe (RMC>Download film goong s subtitle indonesia. Run as Administrator).
