Hello There- Having a problem installing a program onto a PC. Getting the following error: 'Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported The installer cannot run in this UI mode. To Specify the interface mode, use teh -i command line option, followed by the UI mode identifier. The Valid UI mode identifiers are GUI, Console, and Silent' Program: Xerox Freeflow Remote Print Server OS: Windows 10, I have the program installed on many other Win10 machines, no problem, including my own. Troubleshooting thus far: 1. I have switched to run in compatability mode with win 7 2. Run as admin 3.
Attempted to run the installer from command line, no luck, might have done that wrong? Basically put the path to.exe installer with the switches to attempt /passive and etc.
No errors, but also nothing else happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I found a fix. As specified in the error message. Coyotewt 1.0 for windows 7.
Right click on the start button, click run, type in cmd, this will bring up the command line. Type in chdir 'the location of the,exe file', example C: ZZZ SETUP ZZ_SETUP The path will now say C: ZZZ SETUP ZZ_SETUP type in the.exe file name complete with the.exe extension then add a space then type -i GUI as shown in the error message (options are GUI, Console or Silent, I selected GUI) hit enter the program should install correctly without the error This worked for me hope this helps TQQLIN:-) TQQLIN.
Hello, Officially NX 10 is not supported on Windows 10, nevertheless it seems to run, but no guarantees. Not sure if you are trying to install the License server of the NX software.
The license server you are trying to install in Ver 6.x. This cannot be installed on Windows 8 and thus also not on Windows 10.
(this is the version shipped with NX 10.0) Therefor you must separately download the latest version from our website. Version 7.x and later is certified for Windows 8 (and will also work on Windows 10, although not (yet) ceritfied). Select here on the left, 'Siemens PLM Licensing' --> Product updates --> Installs and here the prefered version. After installing the license server, continue with the next step in your screenshot. This runs fine for me, so it should be possible to install.
You might want to manually start the setup files in the same directory are where the launch.exe is located. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Dennis. Hello, Although this option was written for an older version, please try the following: • Open Windows Explore and navigate to the location of the SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe.
(or 7.2 in this case) - Right click on SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe and select Properties. - Select the 'Compatibility' tab. - Check the box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' - On the pull down menu, select 'Windows 7' - Select 'OK' Execute SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe and the license server • Reference • Make sure the image, SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe, is local to the Windows 2012 R2 system. If SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe is on a mapped drive, the desired compatibility change will not behave as expected.
