I'm looking for the best LUTs for the A7RII Slog2 profile. Right now I'd like a good video look, not a film look, with a LUT that gets close enough to minimize color editing. And something that gives good editing control at the top and bottom ends. So far I get the best results with Alister Chapman's basic AC_A7S_709_.cube or his AC_A7S_709800.cube. I've tried James Miller's 'Hyde Park' and his other Sony LUTs but they seem too dark and washed out for me.

Has anyone found something else they really like and recommend? Charles Hull wrote: I'm looking for the best LUTs for the A7RII Slog2 profile. Has anyone found something else they really like and recommend? What program do you use to edit your a7RII videos? Davinci Resolve? I'm guessing you're shooting 'picture profile 7' slog profile? The LUTs you mentioned are the only ones I have found so far. Would love to know some others. Roses wrote: Charles Hull wrote: I'm looking for the best LUTs for the A7RII Slog2 profile.

Would love to know some others. Yes, I'm using Resolve, as well as Premiere Pro with Lumetri. (And sometimes AE).

For most things Lumetri works well, although I haven't looked at Resolve version 12 yet. Alister Chapman's LUTs are pretty good so I'll stick with them for now. Film Convert is nice, except I don't want a film look right now. Roses wrote: Thanks for the info. I'm not quite tready to plunk down for Adobe Premier because I'm so new to video.

Resolve 12 does have some advanced timeline editing, but as far as I'm aware it's more often used for color grading? What do you think of it in comparison to Premiere? My experience with video editors is that it is all about the learning curve. You might want to just jump into Resolve (I probably would in your case).

Kill me heal me 480 sub indo. Original Soundtrack: Kill Me, Heal Me OST Daftar Pemain Drama Kill Me, Heal Me Ji Sung as Cha Do Hyun / Shin Se Gi / Perry Park / Ahn Yo Sub / Ahn Yo Na / Nana / Mysterious X.

But if you change later there would quite a bit of re-learning. The only issue with the free version of Resolve, it doesn't have noise reduction. The for sale version is reported to have very good noise reduction capability (at a thousand bucks). Everyone else uses the Neat Video plugin for noise reduction. As soon as you get into low light video, noise reduction s/w is a miracle.

The dynamic range of Slog2 is so good I hate to try something else, but it could be that this same high dynamic range with 8 bit video makes it almost impossible to have a LUT with high color precision.

So I'll probably plunk down $19.99 and see how it performs. I did buy the EOSHD Sony A7RII Setup Guide and LUT Pack. The setup guide is thorough and step by step, making it easy to optimize the camera for shooting video.

It is more for a serious video shooter, but also useful for anyone to learn the principles of getting good video from the camera. It also has an alternate profile to Slog2 called CINEFLAT that is more like a Canon flat profile. The guide describes how to set up the camera for this. The LUT pack has Slog2 LUTs and a LUT for CINEFLAT. I tried the CINEFLAT profile, and I'd say the author Andrew Reid has done a very good job with this. It won't have the full dynamic range of Slog2, but it definitely allows better control of color, and still has some extended dynamic range.
