Jessica Lea Mayfield's career started at the age of eight as a member of her family's bluegrass band One Way Rider. The band One Way Rider's touring path went from Ohio to Tennessee. Three years later, she started playing the guitar and writing her songs. At age fifteen in 2006, she released her debut EP and released her debut album two years later in 2008 at age seventeen. Her second, third and fourth album was released on 2011, 2014 and 2015. Jessica Lea Mayfield continues to record album and tour to support her albums at this exact moment of time. Studio work [ ] White Lies [ ] At age 15, Mayfield recorded her first album White Lies under the moniker 'Chittlin' produced by her brother David Mayfield, printing only a few hundred copies. One of those copies fell into the hands of of. After an introduction, Mayfield and Auerbach hit the studio, laying the foundation of her debut album With Blasphemy So Heartfelt.

With Blasphemy So Heartfelt [ ] Mayfield's first LP was the September 16, 2008 release With Blasphemy So Heartfelt. The album was produced by Auerbach and recorded over a two-year span in his home studio in Akron. With Blasphemy So Heartfelt features Mayfield on acoustic guitar and vocals, Auerbach on a variety of instrumentation, and Mayfield’s brother David on upright bass.
