Jessica Lea Mayfield's career started at the age of eight as a member of her family's bluegrass band One Way Rider. The band One Way Rider's touring path went from Ohio to Tennessee. Three years later, she started playing the guitar and writing her songs. At age fifteen in 2006, she released her debut EP and released her debut album two years later in 2008 at age seventeen.
